Maggie Nickles
K12 Program Manager

With over a decade of language and translation management experience Maggie consults with education organizations nationwide on language access issues. This experience covers all phases and roles of the translation life cycle including project management, project definition and strategic planning. Prior to joining K12Translate, Maggie managed the Language Services Program at the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization in Portland, OR; working closely with immigrant community leaders, professional linguists and government agencies on issues related to community outreach and better serving immigrant populations. She has served as a language advisor to the City of Portland-Office of Neighborhood Involvement and was a charter member of the Portland Diversity Academy. Maggie holds a B.A. in Russian and English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Russian Language Certificate from the Gertzin Language Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia.
